One industry that thrived through the pandemic and continues to be successful is real estate — especially residential real estate.
After the pandemic put everything on hold for the first few months of last year, the real estate market has been on fire in most parts of the country.
For the past year, low mortgage rates and increases in the number of people working from home due to the pandemic fueled a rapid increase in housing demand. Despite uncertain economic times there has been a booming residential housing market.
Last year was the best year for the sale of existing homes since 2006. So far in 2021, the national housing market continues to be red hot, driving up home prices with many homes selling as quickly as they hit the market.
