 Pa. Justices Take Up Dispute Over Bank Accused of Aiding Alleged Ponzi Scheme

The Pennsylvania Supreme Court has agreed to hear argument over whether the lower court rightly ordered a new trial in a lawsuit filed by the receiver of the assets of convicted Ponzi schemer Robert Bentley, claiming the bank aided and abetted fraud.

In an Oct. 5 order, the justices granted allocatur in David H. Marion, Receiver for Bentley Financial Services and Entrust Group v. Bryn Mawr Trust. Previously, the Superior Court held that the trial court erred in dismissing David Marion’s claims.
