JEFFERSON PARK — The Jefferson Park Sunday Market is returning to the neighborhood this weekend at a new location.
The bimonthly market is 9:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Sunday at the Irish American Heritage Center, 4626 N. Knox Ave. It will run Sundays until Oct. 10. In past years, it was at the Jefferson Memorial Park.
Parking will be available in the south lot of the heritage center while the market will take place in the north lot. There will be a single entrance and exit for a one-way traffic flow, and masks will be required for all vendors and attendees, said Market Manager Merril Miller.
People won’t be able to eat inside the market, but they can eat in the parking area, where The Fifth Province Pub will offer beverages, Miller said.
So far, about 17 vendors are signed up for the market, including Far Northwest Side local shops like Distinct Bath and Body, Fannie’s and Tamales Express. Because of spacing, location and scheduling,…
