 Daddy Days: Of houses and homes

I’ve always been interested in houses. From getting to see a house being built as a kid to eagerly looking forward to my first real estate purchase as an adult, houses and the homes they become has been a fascination of mine.

Certainly there’s a part of the American dream in all this. A place of your own to raise a family and call home is important. Communities and families without roots wash away.

So as I take my customary look around at the houses for sale in the area I can’t help but think that something is off. An advertisement I received in the mail from a local realty group didn’t include the list price of the recent houses they sold, just the amount over asking for which they sold. Up to $125,000 over asking. It wasn’t that long ago that entire houses in this area sold for $125K.
