Revenue authority caught seven sand trucks mixed with mud soil near Kondhwa, 8 booked

Use of adulterated cement and stone crush is very common due to huge price rise in all kinds of construction materials. But in an expose of new modus operandi, the Pune district administration on Thursday caught seven trucks carrying adulterated river sand for the construction purpose. The sand was found mixed with a huge quality of mud (soil) which is likely to weaken the structure if mixed with concrete.

The trucks carrying adulterated construction material were caught near Yewalewadi-Kondhwa area, but the driver and other members managed to flee the spot. The trucks were loaded with 25-30 brass of sand mostly mixed with soil. Bharati Vidyapeeth police station has filed a first information report (FIR) against unknown persons.
