 Comcast offering grants for small businesses owned by people of color in Harris, Fort Bend counties

Small business owners of color in Harris and Fort Bend counties could land a total of $1 million in support from Comcast during a challenging pandemic.

From Friday, Oct. 1, through Thursday, Oct. 14, owners who are Black, Indigenous, Hispanic or Asian American, among others, can apply to receive a $10,000 grant from the global media and technology company to invest in their businesses and work toward recovering and thriving, according to a news release.

The grants are part of the Comcast RISE Investment Fund program, a multi-year, multi-faceted campaign that began in late 2020 to boost small businesses while offering resources and tools.
