Amazon.com Inc on Thursday reported its biggest profit ever as consumers turned to the online retailer for their shopping needs and businesses paid it more to warehouse and advertise their products. Canada’s Shopify Inc, on Wednesday smashed first-quarter profit and revenue estimates on resilient demand for the company’s e-commerce platform from businesses despite a gradual opening of economies.
